Dinkum Switch: Versions, Co-op and What Is Included

Dinkum is sold for Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo also lists a Switch 2 edition. Its product page specifies one player on a single system, with two to four players over local wireless or online. That is a platform-specific figure, not the player limit for the PC version.

Local wireless means players use separate systems; it is not evidence for split-screen on one console. Nintendo's listing separates those modes, so check the mode you actually intend to use before organising a group. For PC co-op limits, use the dedicated multiplayer guide instead of assuming both stores have identical numbers.

The 2026 publisher announcement says a Switch 2 edition launched with graphical improvements and GameChat support. It also says the Switch update brought in content through Animal Tracks, including the train, animal breeding and Creative Mode. Nintendo's current product page presents selectable Switch, Switch 2 and upgrade-pack versions.

This is newer evidence than the December 2025 KRAFTON FAQ, which described Creative Mode as not yet available on Switch. Treat that older FAQ as a launch-period snapshot, not a permanent statement. Check the installed version before relying on a crafting recipe from a PC guide.

KRAFTON states that player-made PC/Steam mods cannot be used on Nintendo Switch. This is different from the official Creative Mode, which the later Switch update added. A mod download advertised as a Switch installation is not validated by the publisher's support article.

The publisher's cross-platform FAQ says there are no current plans for Steam-to-Switch cross-play. It described cross-save as a future plan, rather than a working transfer feature. A newer confirmed rollout date for cross-save remains 待确认, so keep platform saves separate until an official update says otherwise.

Choose the correct Nintendo edition on the product page and confirm your local store's listed modes. If a friend plays on Steam, do not buy the Switch version on the assumption that the two versions can join the same island. If you already have an older Switch copy, consult the official upgrade notice and your region's store terms.

The official help centre explains that sleeping completes the daily save process on Switch. Follow all end-of-day screens before leaving via the main menu or the system Home button. The status of any cross-platform save transfer in a later build is 待确认 here.
